Miss Adela Medley’s Composition
The programme given at Dunedin recently by Master Lex Macdonald, tbe boy soprano, on his return to bis home town, after a visit to Australia, included a song, “My Kite,” composed for the youthful singer by Miss Adela Medley, of Wellington, the words being by Mr. Chas. R. Allen, son of Sir James Allen. According to southern reports, tlie new song was well received and pronounced a distinct success. . It is hoped to repeat “My Kite” in Wellington later on. Miss Medley has composed a number of songs and marches, including some children’s songs, published by Novcllo and Boosey.
