The proposal to purchase a collection of valuable New Zealand books for Masterton was further referred to at last evening’s meeting of the Wairarapa Secondary Education Board, when letters were read from the Masterton Borough Council and the Trust Lands Trust relative to requests for contributions toward the purchase price of £l5O, at which figure they were offered to the board by Mr. A. Clemas, of Masterton. The Trust Lands Trust advised that it had agreed to make a grant of £5O, but the Borough Council stated that it was unable to make a contribution at present.
