ALL BLACKS’ RETURN
Special Match Desired MASTERTON SUGGESTION Special to The Dominion. In expressing regret yesterday to the “Doriiinion’s” Rugby football editor at the New Zealand Union’s announcement that a special match on the All Blacks’ return could not be arranged, a prominent Masterton sportsman suggested that a further effort should be made to stage the match. “We in New Zealand,” he said, “seldom see the All Blacks at their best, and I would suggest that a strong effort be made to allow them to perform in public before they disband. The match would be well supported by Wairarapa people, who seldom miss an important game at Athletic Park.” The proposal he outlined was that the team which won the Bledisloe Cup should play a 'team composed of the balance of the tourists and selected Wellington players, ancL. that the net proceeds should be devoted to the juvenile unemployment fund in the proportion of 50 per cent, to Wellington, .as mainly Wellington money would comprise the takings, and the other 50 per cent, equally to Auckland, Christchurch and Dunedin.
