The Prince of Wales has a new pel, says a writer iu an English” paper. When bis Royal Highness returned to Loudon from Melton recently he took with him a tiny Pekinese puppy which he bought at, the auction sale held at the Hunt ball at Staveley Lodge. Major Charlie Clarke, the “auctioneer.” knocked the puppy down to the Prince for £l2. Everyone is wondering whether the new puppy "’ill gradually take the place of the famous “Cora” in the Prince’s affections. Old age and infirmity arc fast overtaking "Cora,” and this attractive little cairn terrier, who for so long now has accompanied the Prince wherever he went, and uas almost, its well known at nieels of hounds round Melton as Iter Royal master, is to accompany him no more on his visits to Hie old hunting town.
