Industry Asks for Tariff NO DECISION REACHED (Rec. December 14, 11.5 p.m.) London, December 14. The “Daily Express” says representatives of the Lancashire cotton industry during the week-end had an interview with the President of the Board of Trade, Mr. Walter Runclman. It is stated that no definite decision has been reached regarding a tariff on cotton piece goods, but the industry is confident it will shortly be included in the schedule, as it is possible to distinguish between competitive articles and goods used by British cotton manufacturers.
