NO BOLTING DOORS
Agreement Imperative IMPERIAL CONFERENCE Mr. Chamberlain’s Hopes London, December 18. "There will be no bolting the doors this time,” announced Mr. Neville Chamberlain, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, at Birmingham, when referring to the Ottawa Conference. “We are coming to the conference determined that we shall not leave until we have made an agreement which will not only encourage InterImperial trade, which is most important for the country’s future, but which will also establish Inter-Imperial relations on a new footing, based on material interests, more lasting than anything hitherto existing.”
