Rongotai Beats Scots THREE INNINGS’ WINS Ideal weather conditions prevailed for the annual cricket fixture Scots College v. Rongotai College, played at boots College yesterday., Some bright cricket was seen, and some good scores were made. Wilson (Rongotai II) made 90, and Watson (Rongotai III) scored 87. In the first eleven game, Rongotai baited first, and made 141 runs (Covey 38, Wrigley 38). Holt, for Scots, took five wickets for 37. Scots College made a first innings score of 29 'Douglas 11). Wrigley (Rongotai) took four wickets for 11 runs, and James , two for 44. Scots followed on, and made 108 (Taylor .33). Rongotai thus won by an innings and 4 runs.. , . In the second eleven game, Rongotai scored 210 runs for six wickets, and declared (Wilson 90. Thorpe 29 not out). Scots replied with 81, and followed on to make 66. Rongotai won by an innings and 60 runs. „ r . In the third grade game Rongotai made 193 (Watson 87, Cowan 24) Scots made 95 in the first innings, and collapsed for 26 in the follow on. Rongotai won by an innings and 72 runs.
