EPUNI RIDING
In Saturday’s issue of “The Dominion’’ details of the accounts of the various ridings in the Hutt County for the year ending March 31. 1931, were published. Concerning the Epuni riding questions have been asked regarding an item on the receipts side, “Sewer mains, £237/18/3.” The item has regard to connecting the school with the Lower Hutt borough sewerage system. This sum was paid by the Wellington Education Board. The total cost of the work was £262/18/3, so that the charge to the riding account was only £2o. The item shown in the expenditure side, “Fairfield sewer contributions. £75," though shown as such in the printed balance-sheet, should be “Fairfield stormwater contributions.”
