FRONTIER FORTS
France Spending Millions FURTHER APPROPRIATION (Rec. July 5, 5.5 p.m.) Paris, July 4. The Senate passed an additional appropriation of £20,000,000 for fortifications on the Belgian, German, and Italian frontiers, upon which £11,500,000 already has been spent. The scheme comprises amazing concrete trenches and works wherein whole regiments can be housed.
