t ■ Bill Passes Commons NOW BEFORE THE LORDS Official wireless. Rugby, July 3. The third reading of the Finance Bill, which incorporates the Government land tax proposals, was debated in the House of> Commons to-day and carried by 227 votes to 222. The Bill, which was later read for the first time in the House of Lords, has been formally certified by the Speaker of the House of Commons as a money Bill. Under the Parliament Act of 1911 Bills so certified, if not passed by the House of Lords without amendment, may become law without the concurrence of the Upper House on the Royal Assent being signified.
