Hutt Valley Recounts
A recount of votes iu Lower Hutt, Petone, and Eastbourne, . was carried out yesterday. ■
That of Lower Hutt is not yet quits completed. In yesterday’s figures for the council, William Henry Wilson was given ten votes too many. His revised total of 1302. places him below John Mitchell. A slight alteration has taken place in Petone as to the order of ’he successful candidates, but the recount has not altered the personnel of the elected. The Eastbourne figures have undergone alterations in every ease, but Douglas Todd remains the defeated candidate, two votes behind Edward Wellesley Wise, and three votes behind John Frederick Hockstrow.
