SHAKESPEAREAN EVENING

Lyceum Club Entertainment One of the most popular evening entertainments given by the Wellington Lyceum Club is the annual Shakespeare evening, held ,at the time of the birthday anniversary of the hard. Last evening’s performance proved no exception to the. rule, nnd the comfortable reception room at the club was filled with an appreciative audience. Scenes from “Twelfth Night,” “The Merry Wives of Windsor.” “Hamlet.” nnd “A Winter's Tale” were given hr members of flic dramatic circle in costume, while Shakespearean songs were sung by Miss Ailsa Di'lon nnd Misses Webb. Those Inking part in the entertainment were: “Twelfth Night.” Miss M. Martin. Miss 1. Wemyss. Mrs, .1. Carram and Miss Ailsa Dillon : “The Merry Wives of Windsor.” Miss M. E, Ahern. Mrs. G. Berrv nnd Miss M. Butts; selections from “Hamlet” and a "A Winter’s Talc.” Miss C, Caddell, Miss M. McGintsey. Miss M. Hardingc-Maltby was the director and also supervised the costuming of the pieces.
