OFF-SIDE RULE
Where It Does Not Apply “I have held, and will continue to hold,” said Mr. Justice Smith in the Supreme Court recently, that the off-side rule does not apply to vehicles approaching each' other, so long as it is clear that they are in the same street—then they are'simply approaching each other in the same street. . “If the off-side rule were to apply m such circumstances, it would mean that all traffic proceeding down on its proper side would have to give way to a vehicle which desired to turn in the road. The off-side rule does not apply to traffic turning in the street in front of other traffic.
