ALIMONY REFUSED
Time-limit Necessary RULING OF JUDGE By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland. March 13. An unusual petition for, permanent alimony made by a wife several years after her divorce was refused by Mr. Justice Herdman to-day. The marriage of Nora Constance W. Mann and John William Mann was dissolved in 1926. The husband continued maintenance payments till December, 1929. The judge said that if there were no time limit respondents would not know where they stood. Some restrictive meaning must he given to the words in the Act. It would be extremely dangerous to decide that, because of special circumstances in this case the petition should be granted.
