THEFT OF FOODSTUFFS
Young Man’s Name Suppressed Masterton, March .13, A young man, who appeared, in the Masterton Magistrate's Court this morning, charged with the theft of 21b. of butter and 15 eggs, of a total value of 6/6, told Mr. J. Miller, S.M., that. he had spent all his money in assisting friends who had been staying with him for some weeks. In view of the special circumstances the magistrate ordered the suppression of accused s name, and placed him on probation for twelve months. He also ordered him to make restitution and take out a prohibition order. _____
