CHARGES OF FRAUD
Accused Mpn Remanded Palmerston North, March 13. Edward Ralph Martin, a miner, aged, 51 years, of Palmerston North, appeared in the Magistrate's Court this morning before Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., charged with allegedly obtaining by false pretences the sum of £25 from S. J. Rossiter. It was alleged that accused represented himself to be a (Qualified geologist and experienced miner. On the application of Detective Russell accused was remanded to appear on March 18. Hail was renewed. Robert Cecil Thompson, a dispenseraged,B2 years, of Wellington, was charged that by incurring a debt of £6 for taxi hire, he did obtain Credit by fraud. Accused was also remanded to March 18, no application being made for bail.
