Lower Hutt Anniversary
Continuing; the Lower Hutt Methodist Sunday School ninety-first anniversary celebrations, a tea and social were held In Wesley Hall last week, when the children enjoyed themselves thoroughly. There was a jolly programme, and during the evening the Bev. H. Sharp took the opportunity to welcome back Mrs. Bussell, Mrs. Smith and Mrs. and Miss Clark, who have all been holiday-making in Australia.
Mr. Sharp also moved that Mr. Dawson (who had conducted the children at anniversary services), Mr. A. Ballantyne, the pianist, the choir, the caterers, and Sunday school staff be thanked for their share in making the anniversary celebrations the success they had bgen. The motion was seconded by Mr. Cody and carried by acclamation. . „, Last Sunday morning the children again rendered some of the anniversary hymns, and there was also a Girl Guide and Scout Pa ihe e Eev. Harold Sharp suitably addressed the children, and the prizes gained by them during the year were presented.
