Anniversary Services
The Lower Hutt Salvation Army Sunday School celebrated its anniversary last Sunday and concluded a very successful series of meetings by an excellent ’ programme last evening. The company singing of the young people under the baton of Bandmaster Limpus was - of high order. A feature of the Sunday afternoon programme was the Items given by the children of the primary department and the presentation of their prizes. All sections of Sunday School work were represented at the concert, and the’excellent rendering of all Items from the primary tots to Bible class scholars was greatly appreciated. . Staff-Captain Smith - from Wellington took an . active part throughout the anniversary, and bis interesting addresses were appreciated by all. At the conclusion of the programme, Captain G. Thompson paid a tribute to the hard work of Miss M. Kennedy (YPSM) and Lieutenant Ingerson and others who had helped to make the week-end the” success it proved to be. Sixty prizes were presented to the children, first-class prizes being awarded to the following:—Betty Benson, George Monkhouse, William Limpus, William Ballinger, Lavinia Benson, Maurice Wishnowsky, and Ellen Benson.
