EX-PUPILS’ REUNION
Success attended the first reunion of expupils of the Petone Central School, over two hundred people attending at the Trades Hall when a musical programme was gone through, and dancing Indulged in. Mr. J. C. Burns, headmaster of Petone West School, and an ex-pupil and an exteacher-. of Petone Central School, presided. Among those present were the following ex-teachers of the school: —Miss Stanton, Mrs. Boyd, Miss Maynard, Mrs. Evans, Mr. C. B. Joplin (the first headmaster), Mr. S. Duncan, Mr. B. Kean, Mr. P. Cairns. Mr. D. McKenzie, mayor of Petone, an. ex-chairman of the school committee, was also present
