QUEEN’S NECKLACES
Nobody in Albemarle Street a few weeks ago appeared, to recognise the Queen’s car, we are told,'though it stood outside an antique shop for nearly an hour while the Queen herself was plainly visible inspecting the show cases inside.
The Queen has visited several antique shops lately, looking for rare old necklaces to add to the collection she has started. Some exquisite strings of jade and amber are already in her possession, and she has placed them in a cabinet in her boudoir, on shelves eovcrdd with black satin to enhance their lovely colourings.
