The sole selector, Mr. W. S. Brice, has chosen the following twenty players to go Into practice In view of the selection of the team to represent Wellington In the Plunket Shield matches this season:— W. F. Alrey (Wellington). Hepburn (Kllbirnie). A. JI, Rollings (Wellington). ' K. C. James (Old Boys). J. R. Lamasom (Old Boys). T. C. Lowry (Rangitikei). H. JI. JlcGirr (Hutt). H.B. Massey (Walrarapa). E. G. McLeod (University). A. Newman (Nelson). J. Newman (Nelson). . J. Standidge (Midland). E. -F. Warnes (Hutt). Players of city and suburban teams selected Mr practice will attend at the Basin Reserve for batting and bowling practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and for fielding practice on Wednesdays. The first practice will be held to-day. Country players selected will keep in form by practice in their own towns.
Wellington’s first Plunket Shield match this season will be against Otago, at the Basin Reserve, commencing on Christmas Day.
