LEAGUE OF MOTHERS

The annual meeting of the Brooklyn branch of the League of Mothers was held last week, a large number of members being present. Mrs. Baudinct, the president, moved the adoption of the balancesheet and report. The report showed good progress made by the branch during the year. The annual election of officers took place. Mrs. Baudinet, i>resident, and Mrs. Jameson, secretary, intimated that they were not available for re-election. . , . , The following officers were elected : — President, Mrs. W. A. Jameson; vicepresident, Mrs. Baudinet; secretary, Mrs. Tucker; assistant secretary* Mrs. norgate; a committee of twelve members was also elected. , , ~ . .. Mrs. Baudinet. on behalf of the committee. presented Mrs. Jameson with a beautiful crystal vase, and on behalf ot the members, Mrs. Baudinet and Mrs. Jameson were presented with bouquets by Mrs. Raine. Mrs. Vietmeyer, a valued member of the branch, was presented with a token of esteem as a small recognition of her services. _ After the usual business, a social afternoon followed. Members were desirous of giving Christmas cheer to the patients in Victoria Ward, and each brought a useful gift in a bag. During the afternoon. Mrs. Nicolson contributed two songs, and an interesting competition took place. Mrs. Norgate being the winner. Some young children 'were present. and were given a small gift from the Christmas tree.
