Dominion Special Service.
Palmerston North, November 22.
Through a wagon on the Waipukurau mixed train becoming derailed in the Manawatu Gorge yesterday morning this train, the Napier-Wellington express, and the New Plymouth express were held up. When the wagon left the rails the train was travelling at a slow speed and was brought to a standstill without any damage. A breakdown gang was sent from Palmerston North, and after being jacked on to the rails the damaged wagon was taken to Ashburst.
