WANGANUI NOTES
Wanganui, November 20. ’Nearly every school in XVanganui lias now its own swimming baths. The latest bath -is that offl the Friends’ School, St. John’s Hill, which will be formally opened by his XVorshlp the Mayor this afternoon. The baths have cost over £6OO, the money being raised by private subscription, mainly in England, and work done by the scholars.
Mr. F.- Brennecke, of XVellington, who has been touring in England and the Continent for the past six months, has arrived back in New Zealand, and is at present in XVanganui. Mr. Brennecke intends opening a miniature golf course in Earle’s Buildings next , Tuesday. A most successful flower show and sale of work, under the auspices of St. George’s Church, Patea, was held in the, Patea Town Hall, during the week. In the evening a concert programme was given.
