SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS
The Rev. E. I’. Blamires is giving a series of four lectures to the Sunday school teachers of Wellington. The first was given on Thursday evening in the church parlour, Vivian Street Baptist Church. Mr. Blamires was introduced by Mr. W. E. Howe, president of the Sunday School Union, under whose auspices the lectures are being given. The subject for the evening was “The Needs of the Intermediate Department.” The lecturer emphasised his principal points by aid of a diagram on the blackboard. A free discussion followed the lecture. Mr. Blamires is secretary of the young people’s department of the Methodist Church, and visits all parts of the Dominion in the interests of Bible classes and Sunday schools. He will leave today for Inglewood, and work other, parts of Taranaki before returning to Wellington next week.
