SAILORS’ FRIEND SOCIETY
Evidences of careful training were shown in the efforts Y>f the various performers at Miss M. Peterson’s concert at the Sailors’ Friend Society on Thursday. The parformers were Mesdames Newton and J. Booth, the Misses Beatrice Wiltshire, Joyce Twist, Ann Carpenter, Violet Jones, Lilian Thompson, Luju Becker, Una Smith, and Messrs. Williams and Brown. Miss M. Peterson was at the piano. Light refreshments were served by the hostess and helpers. The short story and other competitions were productive of rare yarns, etc. The prizes came from the Victoria League, and went to the Port Fremantle and the Tamaroa.
