MINES DISPUTE
SETTLEMENT REACHED By Telegraph.—Press Association. Greymouth, January 31. The State mines dispute was settled yesterday as the result of negotiations between Messrs, H. E. Holland and J. O’Brien, M.P.’s, with the Minister of Mines, the Hon. W. A. Veitch. The bath attendant was conceded a wage of 18/3, and the case of pay for lost time for six’ miners was referred to the disputes tribunal. Work was resumed to-day.
