In the Sheffield Shield match at t!ie luncheon adjournment New South Wales in the first innings had two wickets down for 146 (Bradman 85 not out, Kippax 42 not out). Fairfax went for 2, being brilliantly caught by Blackie. (Rec. December 27, 11.5 p.m.) Melbourne, December 27. Rain caused a stoppage of play at 5.10 p.m., and stumps were drawn half-an-hour later without resumption of play. New South Wales in the first innings has lost seven wickets for 358 (Bradman 89, Kippax 80, Marks 68, McCabe 70, Allsopp 26). NO PLAY AT ADELAIDE (Rec. December 27, 11.5 p.m.) Adelaide, December 27. There was no play to-day in the match between South Australia and Queensland owing to rain.
