NEW WORLD’S RECORDS BIG BREAKS BY LINDRUM AND SMITH London, December 26. New world's records were created on Christmas Day. Lindrum made two breaks of over a thousand in consecutive innings in the afternoon. O nc them he completed from an overnight JOB unfinished. Lindrum is the first player to have accomplished the feat in a single session. Smith made 1038 in the evening, creating a further record. This is the first occasion two opposing players have made three breaks of over a thousand in a single day. ' o , (Rec. December 2i. 8 p.m.) London. December 26. The scores in the billiards match are: —Lindrum, 9546, including breaks of 850, 733, and 499; Smith, 6329, including breaks of 333 and 334. [Tlie previous match between Lindrum and Smith, played at Birmingham, was won by Smith by 23,985 to 22,884.]
