COLLEDGE—BURNETT.

A large circle of friends gathered at St. Paul’s Pro-Cathedral on AVcdnesday evening, for the marriage of Isabel, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Colledge, of Miramar, to James Knight, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. James Burnett, of Johnsonville. The Rev. A. T. B. Page, vicar of Miramar, conducted the ceremony, at the conclusion of which he gave an extremely interesting address. The altar was beautifully decorated with lilies and other white flowersi The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a gown of heavy ivory crepe satin and lace, made with a short, tight bodice, and deep lace yoke. The long, full sleeves were also of lace. The skirt was full and flared, its scalloped hem reaching the heels at the back, and raised in the front. Her embroidered veil of cream net fitted closely over the head beneath a coronet of orange blossoms, and was finished with bunches of orange blossom at cither side. She carried a shower bouquet of white carnations, roses, and white heather, tied with tartan streamers, which had been sent from Scotland. She was attended by three bridesmaids, Misses Nessie Paxton (Wellington), Vera Lusky (Johnsonville), and, Beatrice Mehaffey (Wellington), whose frocks were of rose pink mariette. with short sleeveless bodies and large bertha collars. Their full flared skirts, edged with frills, hung in four peaks at the hemline, and each was finished at the side trtth a large pink satin bow. Widebrimmed hats of rose crinoline straw, with pink streamers and bouquets of sweet peas to tone with the frocks, completed their ensembles. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Southern Colledge as best man, and Messrs. IVilliam MeWhinney (Johnsonville) and Joseph Colledge (Wellington) as groomsmen. After the ceremony nearly two hundred guests attended a redeption at The Realm, Hataitai, where tne bridal party was welcomed by a wedding inarch, played on the bagpipes by Mr. J. McMillan. Mrs. J. CoL ledge received the guests wearing a frock of beige georgette and lace over a satin slip, and a beige straw hat. Her bouquet was of tea roses. Mrs. James Burnett, the bridegroom’s mother, wore a black georgette frock, relieved with beige, and a hat. to match. She carried a bouquet of red roses. /After a long toast list hud been honoured, the evening passed in dancing, exhibition dances being given by Mr. Southern Colledge and Miss Rona Laffan, and also Mr. Joseph Coiledge and Miss Beatrice Mehaffey. Musical items were given by Mrs. J. K. Burnett, Mrs. K. McCallum. and Messrs. Robins. W. W. Marshall, and Hogg. When Mr. and Mrs. James Burnett,, jun., left for the north the bride wore a frock of turquoise blue crepe satin, with lemon touches under a tailored coat of fawn tweed, and a small fawn hat.
