SIX SAILORS DROWNED
VESSELS COLLIDE IN FOG HEAVY CASUALTY LIST ON GREAT LAKES (Rec. November 1, 10 p.m.) New, York, October 31. At Chicago six sailors on board the ore carrier Senator were drowned when she collided with the steamer Marquette in the middle of the forenoon during a dense fog. The Senator was an old-time iron ship, which filled Immediately and sank in ten minutes. Captain Finch was rescued. The Marquette rescued three and a passing schooner saved nine others. The Great Lakes casualty list during recent storms amounts to 115.
