CHANNEL TUNNEL
ANTICIPATING REPORT OF EXPERTS (Rec. October 31, 5.5 p.m.) Rugby, October 30. The committee of financial experts appointed by the Conservative Government last March to examine the economic aspect of the Channel tunnel will report very shortly. The newspapers understand that the report is not favourable to the tunnel as a commercial proposition. London, October 30. A newspaper report to the effect that the Channel Tunnel Committee will shortly report unfavourably, has prompted an official denial. It is learned that tie sittings are in no way completed, and the committee has not commenced consideration of the report.
