SAILORS’ FRIEND SOCIETY
Tuesday’s concert at the Sailors’ Friend Society added yet another success to the many achieved by former hostesses. The hostess (Miss M. Tolan) and her helpers were rewarded with many encores. Light refreshments were provided. The per formers were the Mesdames Tolan and Clarke, the Misses Tolan, Blake, Davies. Y. Tolan, Mr. Romaine. Mrs. Tolan and Miss M. Tolan were at the piano.. Mr. J. Moore, missionor, spoke on “The Strange Ways of Man.” Pledges followed. The competition prizes came from the hostess and went to men In port.
