OFFENSIVE SPEECH
BROADCAST “TALK” ABRUPTLY ENDED
Australian Press Association.
Amsterdam, September 29.
The flrst broadcast talk ever permitted the Dutch Atheists’ Association came to an abrupt ending. Mynheer Hanhoving, leader of the Atheists, immediately began, an attack on Signor Mussolini, describing him as an erstwhile atheist and anti-militarist, and then an ogre of the priests. At this point the Dutch telegraph authorities applied the silencer, because the speech was offensive to a friendly nation.
