MAGISTRATE’S COURT
CASES AT MASTERTON. Masterton, August 1. There was an unusually light list set before Mr. J. Miller, S.M., In the Masterton Magistrate’s Court this morning. Using a motor-car not equipped with assigned number plates cost T. T. Hughes a conviction, and the sum of 10s. in court For failing to register dogs L. F. Avery was fined 10s. and costs 111 Os. 6d., and J. IV. Mosen was fined ss. and costs £1 Os. 6d. , _ , A charge preferred against A. H. Clark, of failing to give way to a vehicle on the right at an intersection, was defended. Mr. Logan appeared for the defendant, Sergeant Over conducting the case for the police. After hearing several witnesses the Magistrate entered a conviction, defendant being fined £2, and ordered to pay witnesses’ expenses.
