NEW RAILWAY STATION
PLANS COMPLETE BY END OF YEAR It is anticipated that the li'ns for the new railway station at Wellington will be completed about the end of the year, according to a statement made by the Minister of Railways (Hon. W. b. Taverner) in the House of Representatives yesterday. Replying to a question by Mr. C. H. Chapman (Wellington North), the Minister said that before a contract could be let it was necessary to clear the site, and that, in turn, depended on the erection of a new goods shed on the reclaimed ground. Tenders had already been called for the erection of the goods shed.
