BUILDER’S BANKRUPTCY
REQUEST FOR DISCHARGE REFUSED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Hamilton, March 2. Mr. Justice Blair, in the Supreme Court, refused an application for discharge from bankruptcy of William Walter Scott, builder,, of Hamilton. The Official Assignee said that Scott appeared to have been £l5OO in debt when he undertook contracts worth £31,000 for building a theatre at Paeora, and a hotel at Morrinsville. He had failed to account for the losses, and had not kept books during the course of these Contracts. , . '. Several creditors opposed the discharge. . , , His Honour, in refusing the discharge, said that Scott had bitten off more than he could chew, and had muddled along.
