KINEMATOGRAPII PICTURES TAKEN. Dominion Special Service. Nelson, March 2. Mr. E. W. Bierre, kinematographer from the Government Publicity Office, has been spending the last two days in the Riwaka, Motueka and Tasman districts filming work in the tobacco plantations, hop gardens and orchards. Photographs showing the planting of tobacco, harvesting and preparations for drying were taken, while at a big hop garden in Riwaka some excellent scenes depicting the industry were obtained. _ One ot the packing ; sheds in the district was visited and Mr. Bierre was able to cover various parts of the fruit industry, from the bringing in of the apples to the time they were sent from the shed ready for export. To-day Mr. Bierre “shot” scenic views in and around the city.
