ARMISTICE DAY WREATH
At the monthly meeting of the Standing Sub-Committee of the Executive of the N.Z.R.S.A. a letter was received from Miss Black, who was responsible for converting the poppies sent by the 8.E.5.L., London, into the very fine wreath which was handed to the Prime Minister on Armistice Day last. It was unanimously resolved that Miss Black be congratulated on her artistry, and. that she be thanked for the sincere sentiment and kindly interest which was apparent in a recent letter from her to the association. An extract from Miss Black’s letter follows: “I have to thank you for the very great privilege in being entrusted with the work of making up the poppies forwarded by the British Empire Service League into a suitable design. The work was a labour of love on my part, and the beautiful thought of the league, so expressed, must act as an inspiration and reminder on those who 1 axo s® teady to f omcU”
