WILKINS EXPEDITION
DIFFICULTIES OF FLIGHT (Australian Press Assn.—United Service.) London, December 16. In a copyright message from Deception Island, Sir Hubert Wilkins writes : “Snow, sleet, and rain have been unfavourable for an aerial expedition. The ceiling is about 600 feet, whereas the plateau of Graham’s Land, which we must cross, is about 2000 feet high, studded with mountains reaching to 6000 feet. We may get off to-morrow, if the clouds break.”
