YOUNG WOMAN KILLED
MOTOR-LORRY OUT OF CONTROL
Dominion Special Service, Christchurch, October 8. Mrs. Irene Bryant, aged 20 years, wife of Mr. Clarrie Bryant, of Little River, was killed in a motor accident on ft steep portion of the Port Levy Road at J o’clock on Sunday night A motor-lorry in which Mr. and Mrs. Bryant were driving got out of control at a bad patch on the road and after striking the bank capsized, fatally , injuring Mrs. Bryant and inflicting minor injuries on Mr. Bryant. „ . Mr. Bryant is employed by the Banks Peninsula Power Board. The week-end gales resulted in the power supply .to various places on the peninsula being cut off. Mr. Brynnt spent the day in making repairs, using a power board lorry and taking Mrs. Bryant with him.
