The Premier, Rather Koroshetz, in the Skuptschina, appealed to the re- ■ calcitrants to return. He declared that the Government was prepared to i enforce respect for the constitution. The assassination of deputies was the personal act of a single,man. The clash of ideas ought logically to become a clash of arms, in the opinion of observers here, but logical contradiction is the rule in the Balkans, and consistency the exception, as illustrated by M. Raditch, who went to prison shouting “Vive Republic,” and returned shouting “Vive King, country and calm.” ACCUSATIONS AGAINST PREMIER (United Service.) (Rec. August 3, 8.40 p.m.) Zagreb, August 3. The vice-president of the Croatian Peasants’ Party, in a violently provocative speech, accused the Premier, Father Koroshetz, of advising the Slovenes in 1924, to allow themselves to be annexed by Italy, and then by the Vatican’s help eventually to secure local autonomy.
