MANAWATU DEFEATS WANGANUI
Palmerston North, May 12.
Manawatu and Wanganui Golf Clubs contested a match on the Ilokowhitu links at Palmerston on Saturday afternoon, when conditions were perfect. The home team won 20 of the 37 games played, Wanganui taking 11, while 6 were halved. Results are as follow, Wanganui players being mentioned first in each instance: —J. Goss lost to L. A golf match was played at Masterton to-day between members of the Masterton. and Carterton Golf Chibs. The homo team won by 9 games to 3. Bee lost to P. Shankland, 3 and 2; J. Jameson beat 11. Hudson, 5 and 3; A. McKay beat T. Feast, (5 ami 5; 11. P. Hugo beat M. B. Tweed, 6 and 5; H. M. Major beat A. C. McKellar, 5 and 3; A.
