The Minister of Public "Works (Hon. K. S. "Williams) is to commence a tour of inspection of roads along the Wanganui River on Monday. On Tuesday he will go to Ketamine and then to Raetihi, and the following day he will travel to I’ipiriki, where he will meet representatives of the Wanganui County. It is anticipated that the Minister will journey to Wanganui via the River Road. At present the road from Pipiriki to Pitangi (a distance of about 32 miles) is mercely u rough bridal track. For many years settlers at Pipiriki, Jerusalem and Katana have been agitating for a road, as nuinyof them object to paying river freights when produce could be carted by road for less money.
