I DEMONSTRATION CONCERT

Palmerton North, May 11.

Successful competitors at the Manawatu Competitions Society’s annual festival, which concluded last night, took part in a demonstration concert held this evening, the Opera House being filled to capacity. Musical, vocal (including songs "Waiata Poi,” “Waita Maori,” and “Hallelujah,” sung by Mr. H. Barry Coney), elocutionary and dancing items were presented, and making a most entertaining and enjoyable programme. There will be a second demonstration concert to-morrow night, when the championships won at the competitions will be announced.
