FIFTH BATTERY IN CAMP
The sth Field Battery N.Z.A., of Wellington, returned last Saturday from their annual training cainp, held at Foxton. Under Captain J. J. Kean, Officer Commanding sth. F.B. N.Z.A.; Captain T. Farr, Camp Commandant, and Captain Pollard, R.N.Z.A., Instructing Officer, this year’s camp proved very successful from all points of view. On Wednesday the “At Home" was held, when the visitors saw the guns come into action and fire several blank rounds. Firing practice was held on Thursday and Friday on the sandhills, about 2 miles distant from the camp. Colonel Symons, General Young, both of Palmerston North. LieutenanUColonol Lyons, and Captain Parkes spent, several days at ths camp. After striking camp, cheers were given for the Commanding Officers, B.NJZJT.A. Staff, and the camp cook.
