4 A. D. S’. DUNCAN’S RECORD PRAISED. Programmes for the championship and handicap tournament in connection with tho visit of tho Australian golfers for the Kirk-Windeyer Cup are now being printed and will be in tho hands ql all affiliated clubs at the end of this week The tournaments dates are January 26, 27 and 28, and entries will close with the secretary of the New Zealand Golf Association on January 21. The United States Golf Association, in acknowledging a description of tho New Zealand Golf Association’s method of recording scores and results at championship meetings, and a copy of the annual report, which contains a list of the winners of all championship events since their inception, wrote under date of December 3 as follows: Your method of recording scores of competitions is certainly most interesting and, without question, more efficient than any method with which I am familiar. Otlior than tho fact that Earl Jellicoe’s cup has always been won by an amateur, it is interesting to see what a splendid record Mr. A. D. S. Duncan has made in New Zealand golf. It certainly is comparable to tho record of Mr. George S. Lyon in Canada and Mr. John Ball in England.
