Failding, January 6. The number of fat lambs slaughtered at Fetlding Freezing Works yesterday, 3606, constituted a record for the works, the total being put through by a full board of 40 butchers. Compared with previous seasons, the season Io date has been a record, a total of 14,000 more lambs being killed so far, compared with the same period last year, and 5000 more Ilian the number for the same time in 1926. when a record for the works was established. In criminal cases the arrests totalled 46, against 63 for the previous period, anil in civil business 92 plaints were entered for the recovery of amounts totalling £1731 11s. Of these, 55 cases were heard by the Court for the amount of £660 Ils. 9d., of which £642 17s. 9d. was recovered, indicating that a largo number of the cases were settled out of Court.
