Mr. R. A. Papperiall, of the railway staff at Carterton, has been transferred to Napier. . Mr. W. Dobson, of Dannevirke, was a recent visitor to Wellington. Mr. A. G. Bignell has returned to Wanganui from ’Wellington. Mr. B. McArthy, of Hawera, was a visitor to Wanganui this week. _ Mr. N. McDonald, of Napier, is at present visiting Auckland • Mr J. Russell, of Onga Onga, Hawke’s Bay, is at present on a visit to Wellington. . Mr. C. M. Williamson, of Hastings, has taken up his residence in Taumarunui. ... Mr. G. Al. Currie, of Kai Iwi, is a visitor to Auckland. Among the visitors to Palmerston North for the races on Wednesday ■were Mr. D. G. .Riddiford, of Marton, and Mr. J. Mcßae, of Dannevirke. Air. S. Wood, of Napier, is a visitor to Taupo. The Rev. W.’ Beckett, of Alasterton, vesterday addressed the Alasterton Optimists' Club on his recent visit to Tonga and Samoa.
DEMAND FOR CHOKERS. Blandford’s great' sale of furs at Coleman Place, Palmerston North, is now drawing to a close.
