POLICE AND BY-LAW CASES AT PALMERSTON. Palmerston North, October 3. Police and by-law cases were dealt with in tho Magistrate’s Court this morning ing by Mr. j. L. Stout, S.M. Leo Mau/ico Devoran, who, on Saturday evening wilfully damaged the window of a motor-car hood, was convicted and fined £l, and ordered to make good the damage done, which was estimated at £3. For leaving a hoarding erected round a building under course of construction unlighted, A. C. Schioler was fined £l, .with costs 10s.

Leaving a motor-car on tho wrong side of tho street cost J. B. Cooper 10s., with costs 10s.

For riding a motor-cycle at an excessive sped in the inner area, I. Jewett was fined. £l, with costs 10s. L. Ennis was fined .£l, with costs 10s., for using an unregistered motor-cycle. Leaving her motor-car on the wrong side of the street was an offence for which Mrs. L. A. Abraham was fined 10s.. with costs 10s. Allowing his stock to wander cost It. Reed was fined .£3, with costs £1 55., and G. T. Wilkinson =£l, with costs £1 ss.
